From Bud to Barry to Bob and now to Brent, I've pretty much seen it all when it comes to Oklahoma football. As a sportswriter for 20 years I silently worked under signs that read "No Cheering in the Press Box." Now I SHOUT my support, sharing my experiences with this amazing program. Many baby boomers among OU fans have similar experiences and insights with no opportunity to pass them along -- UNTIL NOW! If you're age 60, welcome aboard this online Schooner.
The University of Oklahoma, as God would have it, is the centerpiece of my wonderful life. OU and its iconic football program not only rescued me but paved my way to a remarkable success for a kid labeled retarded. I thus owe a great deal to its School of Journalism and football program.
